Remorse

With all the emotions bundled up
He drank tea in his cup
Heavy heart was all he got
When he remembered with whom all he fought

Tethered by the lies he spoke
He was completely broke
Down came his life tumbling
When they knew lie was all he had been telling

He was smudged by his own dirt
Felt stripped down though he wore a shirt
Someone would still forgive him was his hope
Which kept him from hanging himself with a rope

Lines for you, is a very good piece of poem. The poetic diction used is so meaningful. The rhyming words also keep the poetry sound beautiful. Thank you for sharing this most warm poem.
